Correlation Hot Yoga is a combination of Yoga postures designed to be practiced daily. Having formerly been a Bikram studio, we based our practice on the order of postures that our clients were used to. However, we did not want to focus on the Yoga Competitions popular with those studios, risking injury for the sake of a sloppy pose. Instead we wanted to create a sequence that could be practiced for a lifetime without injury by any practitioner. We further felt that the popular "script" or "dialogue" was insufficient and confusing to new practitioners, so out it went. The Correlation sequence will focus more on alignment and the instruction will involve more anatomical and physiological references. Our goal is to provide you with an excellent class with no pain! Your job is to always let the instructor know if have any injuries, recent surgeries, or even aches and pains. Often, we can recommend a modification that will help these conditions, or at least let you know which postures to sit out to avoid further injury. Our sequence is as follows:

Controlled Breathing - Pranayama

By releasing the Vagus nerve, the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated.
Promotes stress release ( mental )
Lowers blood pressure
Promotes circulation of blood and Lymph
Promotes the process of detoxification
Improves digestion
Increases the levels of Oxygen in the blood stream
Promotes a normal sleep cycle

Pranayama sets the tone for the practice.
